Hello All.....

I just finished this song for a friend/client Danny First called "Strong Love". Although I didn't use RiffWorks 2 for anything on this song, I did use a ton of GearBox on it for the bass and certain vocal parts (as well as Drums On Demand loops), and you all have been good to share this stuff with each time I release something new. So I guess I'm posting this here since we are all friends and I'd like some feedback on the song. That all being said, the DAW of choice was T3, with honorable plug-in mentions to the Nomad Blue Tubes Bundle, Atmosphere and Stylus RMX, Mackie, GVst, Melodyne, ProXl, Voxengo, and of course Line 6 GearBox. I also did some post-mix stereo editing on my beloved Roland VS-2480. All tracking was originally done with my Firepod and some tracks were done at the last minute on my Line6 UX2. All mics were nothing more than a pair of MXL-603s pencil mics and an Oktava MK-319 for all vocals. Also, during the course of the mixdown process of this song I ended up rotating my studio layout by 90* and I also built some sweet looking diffusion panels for a couple of reflective walls that were playing havoc on my ears. I still need to install and/or build some bass traps for the corners of the room but I can only afford so much at one time. Hopefully those bass traps will come along sooner than later. At any rate, this song was done as a "hired-out" deal and the song and basic arrangement itself was written by Danny First. I was just the producer, engineer, bassist, editor, etc.. I'm sure I'll get the usual round of compliments and kudos as well as the harsh critiques on this one as this forum is known for but that is all good to me. I tend to take all comments (both positive and negative) with a grain of salt, and honestly this mix was anything but easy to finish and eventually I reached a point with it where I just had to stand back and stop nit-picking it. So here it is:

Hope you all enjoy it!!

All the best.....
