I know this has been brought up before, but c'mon Sonoma you gotta get this thing to be able to save to some other drive than just the "C" drive?

Be gentle...<whimpering sound>

Have you tried copying any RWS song you've got onto another drive using Windows explorer. If you open it from there you can then easily save songs to that location. All my stuff is on a secondary "D" drive and RiffWorks opens from and saves there. Using Vista by the way.

Hope this sorts it for ya.

I only had to change my save path once to the folder on D, and it has stayed true for me.

Yeah I have my stuff all backed up to another drive, but the "set file path" never took for me. I can load stuff from the other drive, but I didn't happen to notice if it was saving there. I'll have to take another look when I start another project.

"select record file path" means the place where you will be streaming temporary recordings, these are not your saved files. You can manually save a song file to any location by browsing to the drive. I think this might be a known issue, but if you must change record file path you can do it with a registry edit. Mine is set to G:

Here's how to change it, BE CAREFUL don't make any other changes, screwing with the registry is bad news for your system if you don't know what your doing.

Goto Run. Type regedit. Click the folder that says, "HKEY_CURRENT_USER". Click the folder that says "software" and then "RiffworksStandard". Click on "TempPath" and change the value to the correct drive letter.

Thats it. If you have Line6edition the folder name may be different then riffworksstandard.
