would it be better to mix, play, record with 24bit?

would there be glaring differences if it sounds ok in 16bit?

my computer tech got me paranoid by saying i needed a 24bit card so the music sounds better (3D) when played back.

no doubt i have a less than ideal set-up for playback (on any music)but...?

i am using a book shelf stereo.

o, rw supports 16 and 24 not 32?

maybe it was a hint about my rw skills, lol.

Well in my opinion it's better to record and mix in 24 Bit....It does have a noticable sound difference and will help you hear everything.

Unfortunately thats all it will benefit you though.....because most destination formats such as CD's are 16 Bit.

There's probably more in your recording and playback chain that affects your sound compared to 16 vs. 24 bit! Don't sweat it fooks, rock on! :)
