Maybe this is a stupid question, so I apologise for that.
I recently downloaded a demo version of Riffworks then correctly installed on my notebook but, after some simple recording, I cannot hear anything.
My guitar seems ok, I see levels of sound goes up and down but no sound when try to play.
In other software I know I have to select the source and even the output (AC 97...) but in Riffworks I cannot find something like.
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.

P.S. oh I use an Edirol UA-4FX to record...

You might need to download an ASIO drive for playback? I know I had to before I could hear anything on my laptop.

I just googled ASIO and it took me to a free download site and everything was fine after that.

edit - my riffworks will crash sometimes when recording and after looking at Michelle's response maybe my ASIO is responsible...

Here is the list of recommended ASIO devices for RiffWorks:

hmmmm - this might be why my riffworks crashes so often when I'm in the middle of recording. That ASIO4ALL with the Stealthplug could be the culprit then?

Hi Meesh,

You shouldn't be using ASIO4All with the Stealthplug, as its default ASIO drivers work a lot better. You may need to download the latest version of the Stealhplug ASIO drivers from www.ikmultimedia.com, as the drivers that are included on the disk tend to be outdated (and sometimes incompatible).

Thanks Randy. I only use the ASIO for playback when the stealthplug is not plugged in. I can't hear it any other way.

I actually increased the (bandwith I think) and did not have any issues since then so far.

edit - is the stealthplug's ASIO suppose to get loaded in the computer and work even when the strealthplug is not plugged in?
