My Riffworks opens, and I can open files and listen to tracks.. but when I attempt to save, mix or record anything, an error occurs and it shuts down. It had never done this till a few days ago. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a dozen times but nothing works.

These are the boxes that pop up:

Can anyone help?

Cheers

hi, it looks like you have the old version. have you tried to get the newer v2?

that might or might not help but you will be current.

better help will be coming soon.

Use the Line 6 Monkey to make sure all of your software is up to date.

Have you made any changes to your computer recently - new software/ hardware / driver updates?
Cheers!

Hey, I've been having the same problem ever since yesterday or the day before :P It really sucks doesn't it? I've been recording a cool song lately, which is probably my best yet, and I've actually been motivated and eager recently (which is hard for me to do lol, I have to be in the right mood to record). But then that problem started occuring and it's kinda making me unmotivated... and I really want to finish this song before next year (which I probably will, but I just started recording a week ago so it will be a little longer)

Just go the lazy route and do a system restore to a time you know that the program was working. It's best if you do a SR right away after you discover the problem. That way you don't lose anything you've worked on from RW or other programs.

If you haven't changed anything, I bet microsoft have.

Did you get a bunch of patches automatically downloaded recently?

There have been some really major downloads recently on patch Tuesday, some of which have to do with the .NET framework.

From the error messages posted above, I would bet that this is what is causing your problem.

However, having said that, the latest version of Riffworks should work fine with all versions of .NET.

Yeah Riffworks 2 works, but I have to buy it and I dont have a card to do that with. There is no way i can uninstall any of the patches to make my old riffworks work again?
