Riffworks Line6 edition freezes in Vista

Hi Recently bought a Vista Machine and planned to buy the Riffworks. But when I ran the demo version the software freezes and gives me this message.



The demo used to work with my XP machine. This is really stopping me from buying.

All my software and drivers relating to riffworks and line6 hardware are up to date. I am using an core 2 quad system if that helps.

found some useful info in another thread.... I tried locking my internet connection in my firewall....

then...

Riffworks ran!!!! Hahahaha I'm so happy... i've been waiting for this to get fixed and nobody from sonoma even bothered to address this issue.

I've posted this long time ago...nobody even replied... not even a sonoma rep. Hope this gets fixed asap without me locking my internet connection just to get this thing running.

Mine freezes in Vistas as well. I don't get the error windows or what not. I just get the hourglass when i put my cursor over the program window. Anyone know why? is there a Vistas patch or something?

I run Standard on Vista and have never had any problems like that........there has to be something else at work causing the problems as it is not a Vista issue.

There has been alot of trouble with wireless adapters and alot of DAW's or sound programs... Try disabling your wireless adapter... I disabled my bluetooth adapters and my wireless card in Device mnanager.... all my programs.. ( Line 6 Toneport actually clipped with my wireless card running..) pro tools and Abelton LIve on a 64 bit Vista machine with no issues after fixing my wireless card adapter. Not saying this will work for you.. but its a fairly well known problem with alot of DAW's.
