For some reason I can not save the recorded riffs I came up with. I've signed up and everything. Maybe I just have to wait to see when I get home tonight. Do I have to sign in everytime to save on file?

If someone can give this moron some help I would appreciate it. I'm sure it's something that I am overlooking.

Mark,
Welcome to the RiffWorks forum! :)

Which version of the software do you have - demo, junior, Line 6 or Standard?
You shouldn't have to sign in other than to register your copy. There should be a 'Save' and 'Save as' button at the top of the screen which operate just like any other save function.
Cheers!
Scott

Mark,
Which audio device are you using? - GuitarPort, Toneport etc.

I've retrieved the message below from another thread for you as SWW recognise that registration isn't wholly intuative.

Let's know how you get on.

michelle wrote:I'm sorry the activation process isn't straight forward. It's hard for us to make it any simpler because of the need to activate with both Line 6 and SWW. Here are the generic activation instructions we send out:

Activation is a two part process. You need to first activate RiffWorks using the Line 6 Monkey. Once you've used the Monkey to activate, you'll need to activate/register with us to be able to use the drummers, RiffCast, etc.

1. Click on Start -> All Programs -> Line 6 -> Tools -> Line 6 Monkey
2. After launching the Monkey, click on the UPDATES tab
3. There will be a warning symbol next to any item that needs updating. Make sure you update all marked items
4. To activate RiffWorks, click the OPTIONAL ADD-ONS tab, click RiffWorks and type in your key when prompted. If you don't have your key handy, go to www.line6.com and sign in using your Line 6 login information. Once logged in, click on "My Account" and then choose the "License Keys" link on the left. Use this key in the Monkey to activate RiffWorks with Line 6 using the steps above.

Now you can activate RiffWorks with Sonoma Wire Works:

1. Open RiffWorks
2. Click the RiffCast button
3. Type in your SonomaKey login name and password. If you do not yet have a SonomaKey login name and password, you'll need to create a new one one clicking the "Register" button found on the same window. After creating a name, please return to the login prompt and enter your newly created login information.

That's it! If you've forgotten your SonomaKey login information, then you have emailed to you using the password retrieval form at https://www.sonomawireworks.com/store/i … _forgotten
Cheers!
Scott

Are you getting error messages when registering? Does it complete and still not allow you to save?

Mark,
When you went through the registration, did it all work as mentioned above? Is it still asking you to register?

The guys at SWW might be able to help but as it's the Line 6 version you've got, you may need to involve their Support people too.

Let SWW know via e-mail or the Support webpage and they'll do their best:
support@sonomawireworks.com
OR
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/support_form.php

You may have to wait a few days for the new year holiday period to pass and the guys to catch up on things.
Cheers!

Dank,

It looks like you have two profiles set up 1) Dank 2) dankster.

I'm not sure but that may cause you a problem with getting everything registered. Maybe Scott could shed some light on this.

You have to use the same login name (case sensitive) for RiffWorks/RiffCaster/RiffLink and the store. The Line 6 login name doesn't need to be the same to register at their site.
Cheers!

not sure if this is it or not. I have the L6 version, and sometimes it opens with the demo song. when it does this it won't save. Exit RW, and start again. if you get the regular empty riff1 (not the demo song), you can save. I get the demo song thing every 10 sessions or so.

Got the upgrade Driver from Line 6 and it now works. But I have sound from my computer. The only I get sound is from the Headphone jack. Any suggestions.... The software is pretty cool. and easy to use. Just the driver issue was a drag.
