I was wondering why the "master meters" on RW are always maxed(red lined)? Not sure if there are any settings I need to be aware of. Even with "riff gain" set at -6, I still see the master meters red lining.

I have a PODXTLive(w/headphones)--->USB--->PC. Very simple setup. So, either I kill my ears because my POD's master output level is turned up and so it can register through RW, or I turn it all down to barely able to hear the master output through RW. It has always been this way ever since I started using RW, guess I just ignore it now.

Hopefully I don't sound confused, well ok, I am.

Any helpful setup solutions would be appreciated. Perhaps I need to see other ppl's recording setup to get a full understanding of what I "need to be doing".

Also, are there any issues regarding, running both GuitarPort and Riffworks (either Standard or L6ver)? I mainly try to run them separately.

If you've got a half decent stereo anywhere near your pc you could do what I do. Run the line out from your pc to your stereo and plug the phones into that instead of the pod.
No-one remembers what you do or say. Everyone remembers how you made them feel. Allegedly !!!!

Interesting idea. How does it sound through a stereo that way? Considering you have a nice audio card in your computer. I just imagine quality from the pc out to a stereo might degrade the quality of the recordings. Shot in the dark, but I am still curious.

it sounds as good as your stereo. i do that also.

it's an easy set up too. i have rw and gp, which i have headphones plugged into that also. i just shut off the stereo and listen to the headphones when it's late.
