Hi everyone,

I saw on the forum several answers to use GR2 with RW Standard, but I am unable to perform it with RW Line 6 Edition.
Is there any way to work it out ?

You'll need the RiffWorks Standard edition ....NOT the Line 6 version to use outboard VST's..............
The Line 6 version is tied to only line 6 devices, whereas the Standard version can use Amplitube, Guitar Rig 1-2-3, and a load of others...........
check into the Sonoma store about crossgrading over to Standard. I think you'll find it well worth it.

I'll back Mickey up on suggesting a serious look at crossgrading.
RW Standard isn't tied to any single device or manufacturer.
Check this page for a comparison ...

....and the crossgrade is CHEAP! Well worth it to not be tied to a Line 6 device, plus you can use VSTs with Standard.

Thanks guys, will try it.
I'm definitely fond of GB, but some GR2 sounds are really amazing and it would be a pity not to be able to record them...

Cheers

Just out of curiosity I downloaded the demo version of Guitar Rig 3. I installed both the VST and the standalone app. I was blown away by the sounds - a lot of them seem....fuller sounding ....than the Line 6 models. Plus it has some neato synth effects that you can't get with GB.

As I have it now, Riffworks doesn't seem to want to "hear" anything from the standalone app. When I try to use it as a VST, the GuitarRig screen pops up, but nothing is clickable, menus don't do anything, etc. I'm guessing this is because my machine doesn't have enough horsepower for this particular VST. Is anyone here using the standalone GuitarRig 3 with Riffworks?

Also, I should mention that I'm using RW Standard and a GuitarPort as my ASIO device.

Pretty much the same thing for me while using RW with this GR3, but I am able to use it alone without RW running and I am able to click on everything. I just can't use it to it's full potential while running RW which is understandable since it it a Demo.

Great sounding stuff but not enough to make me take a chance at dying by my wifes hand by spending that much...you know?

I'm might be able to get this for free, I'll let you know if I do and how to do it.
