No instructions for it. Does not show up under Traction plugins either. If you are going to pack something which may serve as a "value-added" feature then make sure the user can get it going! A lot of effort goes into upselling, but the instructions for Amplitude (PDF) do not include Riffworks. Did not show up under activation process, did not ask for serial number, etc, etc.

Have you installed it yet and activated it? See pics below on how to get it working through RW.

R-CLICK ON PIC (OPEN LINK IN NEW TAB OR WINDOW)

FIRST, HIT THE HARDWARE BUTTON.

SECOND, HIT THE EFFECT BUTTON.

THEN HIT THE LITTLE PULLDOWN ARROW AND SELECT YOU AMP.

YOU MIGHT HAVE TO REFRESH THE LIST, OR IF YOU BROWSE FOR THE VST FILE, IT IS USUALLY LOCATED AT C:Program FilesVstplugins

HOPE THIS HELPS...

Hi John,

I'm pretty sure you submitted a case to support regarding Amplitube. I responded this evening, though please let us know if you need anything else.

Best regards,
Randy

Thanks for the help mudd... I wasn't sure how to open it in Riffworks and now I can.
I have some white noise through my speakers when I open the program though.
It's kind of a hiss sound. Has anyone else experienced this?

To get rid of the hiss you have to play around with the limiter knob at the bottom

Otherwise I think that "hiss" is what tends to give it a bit more of a "live" sound IMO than line 6 tones.

Can you give me an example of this hiss? Do a quick recording and rifffcast it and name it "Hiss" I guess. I do have a tiny bit of hiss and I am not sure how it compares to your hiss.

Mine is not a constant hiss. It is was just a very audible hiss when I first fired it up.

Mine is not constant either. It kind of comes on for a few seconds then goes away and then cycles back again.

I think we may be talking about the same hiss. It may be built into Amplitube, as Meesh mentioned, giving it that live sound. When it goes away, is that because the noisegate kicks in you think?

I thought maybe it was like the dash lights when you first turn the key in your car. It illuminates all the light so you can check to see if any are burned out. The initial hiss tells me it I am connected.

So do you all like it or are you hissed off with it ?
No-one remembers what you do or say. Everyone remembers how you made them feel. Allegedly !!!!

I have to figure out how to bypass by X3L effects so it doesn't color the Amplitube. So, I don't know if I like it or not. Gearbox is unavailable with the X3L for now. Hopefully we will get a new version in a few weeks.
