I’ve been considering purchasing a Line 6 x3Live since October. Experience (e.g., Vista) has taught me that buying a newly introduced product can be fraught with peril. Therefore, waiting for the bugs to be ironed-out of the x3L seemed prudent. At the very least, giving any device a test-run in the music store is advisable before purchase - but you can't do that with Line 6 gear in Fargo.

Unfortunately, problems persist with both the x3L’s the software and hardware. :( Others have jumped ship and settled on the x3 bean but I want a floor MFX device.

Yesterday, at NAMM, Roland introduced the new Boss GT-10 guitar effects processor which offers features not incorporated into previous Boss MFX models. Of particular interest to me, is the USB output (for recording via computer) and loop station. Roland also claims it is much more intuitive. I haven’t spotted a price yet. Anyway, here’s the link:

Does anyone care to speculate whether or not the GT-10 will be or is already compatible with RiffWorks?

I'll go talk to them about getting a sample so we can test the ASIO drivers. Anything else you guys heard about that I should check on? I've been too busy to read any of the news from the show yet.

cheers from Anaheim,
