MIDI Control is possible!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have an FCB1010 and I am using it with LoopBe MIDI Loopback and BOMEs MIDI Translator!!! It works a treat!!!!! I guess the only key strokes used in Riffworks are Space and Enter. Are there anymore? So far it works great!!!!

Of Course that is possible but there is too less that is controlable.

i hope to get few more keyboard shortcuts in new version if not direct midi control inclusion.

i had coded a small app which is use to control playback and recoding using either midi or pc joystick /gamepad. but i gave up as there is too less to control in rw as of now.

neOne as sonoma listening ?, we do need some more control:)

BTW if playback and recording is all you need then to control try midi2keyboard equivalent or something.

atalwar,

Using a combo of Bomes MIDI Translator and AutoHotKey I have manage to control: play/stop, record, duplicate and create. I also have set Guitar Rig 2 as a plug-in to pop up and be able to change presets!

Hi stephan,
could you share the RW shortcuts you using to create, duplicate etc unless you using autohotkey macros.

Thx,
Amit

Hi guys,

What do you think are the most important things to control. Everything is not a valid answer. I want you to give me your opinions of priority.

I think for using it live, being able to switch riffs, change vst presets and/or effects settings, continuous control of wah or other effects and start/stop/record would be most valuable.

Knowing what midi controllers you want to use would be helpful too.

cheers,
dug

dug, I agree with every thing you stated. also the ability to duplicate a riff is the only thing I would add to the list. I use a Behringer FCB1010 for all the items mentioned.

I would be willing to test it!!!! :) These would cause me to stop using most of my other software.

Nice topic. You hit the nail on the head:

Switching riffs, chaining and controlling VST presets, continuous control of effects, and start/stop record would be a great asset.

I don't want to be a me-too poster, but I do want to support your call for ideas by replying.

I use a FCB1010 controller via M-Audio (Midiman) 2x2.

cheers,
J
