I'm fairly new to RW and have been playing around with the software a lot and love it. One thing I can't figure out completely is the Instant Drummer. I know that it comes with a few drummer sessions, but i've been trying to record some stuff in 6/8 or 3/4 timing and can't find any drum backgrounds that will play in that timing. When I change to a 6/8 timing, the bars change on the measures, but the drum beats stay at a 4/4 timing.

My question is, does anyone know how to change the drums to fit the different timings or am I going to have to purchase new Instant Drummer sessions that are only built for the other timings?

You will have to purchase drummers that have been designed for different time signatures. You can search for them in the Store (link above) by timing.

I thought that's what I would have to do but thought I would just check first...

Thanks for your reply

There are several IDs that are available in 6/8 time, but as far as I know, there are none in 3/4. Any beat producers paying attention? We want 3/4!

There are two 3/4 drummers so far:

There are some search links listed on the main InstantDrummer page in the store here that might help:

I stand corrected Michelle. Some more 3/4 drummers would be great, for those of us who don't tend to write waltzes :)
