I got my package in a green box and I even registered my gearbox. Where do I get my license key? apparently i need it to save my tracks which is very F*&king stupid, I already paid 200$ for the damn thing.

When I first started using Line6, I did not know they had so many various versions of marketing hardware/guitarport with software/RW. I really wanted Riffworks way more than the Guitarport.
The first one I bought at a Guitar Center sale had a license key, the whole shebang. Then I seen them on eBay for 75.00. So I took my bargain find, went back to GC and waited for the mail to arrive. Turns out, 140.00 I paid at GC wasn't such a bad price afterall as the one off eBay was a trial version of Riffworks 2.0
(I even emailed the seller to make sure, got the reply, yes, yes, it has Riffworks)

Did your installer have the monkey?
Its more pukey yellow don't cha think?
It should be in the box on a piece of paper.

moral of the story; eBay sometimes sucks, do your research, know what cha got
and.... here's the clincher

Email support. I would email both Line6 and Sonoma. As long as you have your receipt you should be fine. I would say its probably more Line6 deal if you bought it as a package with hardware. (hope you got it from a retail store,)

You have the Line 6 version I assume? Please relaise though that cussing and acting all put out due to what is a quite common registration/demo limitation doesn't make people jump any higher for you. I'm sure the team at Sonoma will sort it out, or at least point you in the right direction.

Hope you enjoy the software and I look forward to seeing some of your work in Riffworld.

I am surprised someone from the team hasn't posted here in response yet. Unfortunately I'm just a pleb who has no say in anything here, and there is a big contest that's just finished so the Sonoam team are probably busy. If you post in the Customer Service section someone from there might get onto it quicker.

Sorry, that's about all I can advise at this point.

Hi PoiletTaper - great user name BTW,

I found a great FAQ about your situation in the Line 6 support area:
http://line6.com/support/entry!default.jspa?categoryID=58&externalID=4005&fromSearchPage=true

After the license key issue is worked out, make sure follow the instructions in our RiffWorks Line 6 Edition installation guide here so you can get your extra free InstantDrummer sessions:
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/guide/index.php/RiffWorks_Line_6_Edition

Thanks,
Michelle

Did you get RiffWorks as part of a bundle, and if so, which Line 6 interface device was it bundled with? Currently the only bundle that Line 6 offers that includes the full version of RiffWorks is the the GuitarPort/RiffWorks bundle. If you bought a Toneport or Pod, etc, then you have the demo version of RiffWorks. However, those products normally include a copy of Ableton Live, which is also a recording app.

The contact technical support message implies that you need to contact Line 6 technical support, as they're the only people who have access and control over license keys for their product line. That includes RiffWorks 2 Line 6 Edition.
