Phew, for a minute there I thought I wasn't going to measure up for this group huge thing. And, to make matters worse, I was really worried about the audition process for such a group!

++1 on the pro version!! I would easily submit another 100 bucks for some upgrades...

info layer button on backups and instant drummers, the ability to turn the limiter off, and reorganizing layers on the fly are just a few things I'd love to see but these sound more like improvements to what is there already vs. a brand new pro version. It's still a good idea :)

You will have to be quick about it Cwighty !!!!!!!!!

Pooter said, that very shortly when he is elected President and he answers directly to Queen Lizzie or Dick Head, depending on who gets crowned, dethroned, defrocked or whatever you call it, that he must accede to the unwritten demand from Mr Cleese that the dollar will be abolished and everyone must send their stash of the useless Bills to me.

This is because I am the absolute head of the Useless Bill department

if it has more than 1 input to record at the same time, i give the 6 goats, 1 cow, all the chickens you can carry AND the pig!

so are we talking $100us to upgrade to pro ed? :)

Depending on the improvements, yes I agree with Chip there is a market for sure to have the extra functionality included. If you could fade, "master" and export to MP3 from withing RW, there would be no need for any other software at all.

Mind you I think what you get out of it now is already amazing........

If you could simply start with a standard version and download an upgrade to a pro version that would be best. As compared to making the user decide (noobs would go for the cheaper standard) then be upset once they get rolling if they had to reinstall a new version.

Could be some serious potential there Sonoma! If I am willing to pay for it (and I don;t like paying for anything being the cheap tight wad I am) then there is a good chance lots of others would too.

If it can compete with Pro Tools and be stable on a RW platform, I'd be all for it.

I'm not sure it needs to "compete" with Pro Tools, in fact I hope it wouldn't from a complexity standpoint.

I submit that it should offer simple user friendly mastering tools and some other more advanced options to bring the final master right out of RW to a more pro level.

Harbal offers a wonderful automated mastering program that would be a great template for an RW mastering suite.

Options similar to what Soundforge offers would be nice as well...that program is relatively simple to use and produces nice results.

Maybe Sonoma should take a look at what all the big boys (like ProTools and Soundforge) do really well, and instead of trying to copy that, figure out where the holes are in those apps and plug them with RW Pro.
