Any suggestions from you folks on a good pair of headphones to use while recording. I am looking to spend around $100.

Thanks in advance.

Sennheiser or Beyer Dynamics are what I've always used. I don't know what the exchange rate does to prices but you should get something in your range. Seriously consider a closed set, no matter what you go for.
Cheers!

Bose-around ear headphones. I thought I'd never be plugging a Bose product, but these sound great. They really pick up nuances in the mix and bass I never even heard before.

SennHeiser 280HD's are the shizmizit.............I love 'em so much that I've got a brand new pair in the box as a back up. $99.99 American dollars.........here's a good honest review that points out there strenghts and weaknesses....

You don't want a lot of overemphasized bass tones while recording especially if you are mixing that way............you'll never get a good/true mix .............but then again mixing with headphones is a whole other ball of wax.

I highly recommend the Sony Pro MDR-7506 headphones. Flat response, closed ear design, sturdy construction, and they're even foldable. They usually run $90-$100.

I have a pair of the Senn 280 pro as well...they blow out GC or Musicians Friend on occasion for 69.99. They're good phones, I still tend to lean towards using my Bose more for mixing though...matter of preference I guess.

I have the MDR- V-150's and they sound great so I can imagine the 7506's.

At Amazon for 13 bucks.> http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-V150-Monitor-Headphones-Reversible/dp/B000092YPR

I've always loved my AKG headphones (forget which model). They were a couple hundy, are really comfy and they have a replaceable cable.

They look almost exactly like these:

Thanks Guys for all the input. Not only does the software rock but so do the forums!! I have it narrowed it down to either the HD280's, MDR-7506's or the AKG K141. I am locked into MF as I received some XMas gift cards. Anyone use the K141's?

Hey Chip, my kid has some Hannah Montana earbuds, think I will get the same response as your Barbie's?? LOL
