You got RiffWorks to slave Reaper with Rewire?!? Whoa!! HOW?! I've never been able to get this to work. Maybe it's my audio driver....

I got RiffWorks to work with AmpliTube VST via REAPER and Rewire but it was a bit laggy, so I tried using REAPER's ReaRoute ASIO drivers instead, and it worked better. The only gotcha is that AmpliTube VST has to plug into REAPER not RW - it made nasty clicky noises as a RW VST plugin, and the ReaRoute ASIO drivers don't appear to work with AmpliTube standalone.

I was getting ready to post the instructions.but someone beat me to it. I do not experience the clicking. I even opened Project 5 as a rewire client. I merely use Reaper as a pass thru for the plugins. Riffworks rewire implentation is a bit on the cludgy side. It truthfully maybe that Reaper has a few issues rewire wise.

Sorry Stephan... I didn't mean to butt in. It certainly is not a seamless process, and it even seems to vary depending on individual computers and peoples' settings.

I find that I have to set things up in a certain order or RW hangs, or AmpliTube crashes. Now, I am not blaming RW or AmpliTube - perhaps it's a Windows memory mapping or some sort of bus traffic fetish - and that's likely a compiler/library issue - or just *sigh* Windows.

John - who much preferred when his PC was Linux but then there were not as many cool toys to play with.

By no means were you butting in... I was relating my experience. Nothing wrong with what you said.
