Hello.

I recently purchased Riffworks/StealthPlug bundle through an online retailer.

I registed with my Stealthplug (and I guess Amplitube Live simultaneously).

Then I installed Riffworks. Upon running, the activation screen appears.

I entered my registered username, password and the Riffworks 8-letter serial number.

When I click "activate," I can see some activity on my internet connection (the icon lights up momentarily), but nothing happens. No change in the activation screen at all. Subsequent clicks (click, click, click) have the same result - apparent internet activity, but nothing on the screen.

I tried all kinds of things, including entering an incorrect name or pw to see if anything different happened. I did get an "incorrect password" message. But when I tried again with the correct pw, nothing.

When I then click "activate later," the program runs -- and a second activate screen pops up in front of the program, with a message about reduced functionality and a 30-day trial period.

I try to enter activation info again, and again, nothing.

When I click, again, "activate later," the activation screen goes away and the program runs, but in the reduced functionality mode.

I tried re-registering, thinking that maybe I have to re-register with Riffworks. Of course, when I get to the registration area, my account info is already entered. And when I try to register Riffworks, the registration screen informs me that the serial# is incorrect -- that it should be three sections separated by dashes (like the sn for Amplitube).

Frustrating, obviously.

I read in an FAQ that it is possible to activate without the online process.

Can you anyone advise? I can try this on another computer. But it is CRITICAL that the software be installed on the one in question.

If anyone can advise, please let me know asap! Thanks!

For anyone interested, I disabled my firewall & antivirus software. UNINSTALLED RW and Amplitube, the reinstalled.

Activation worked like a charm.
