anything i save in riffworks gets deleted or something. every time i try opening up a song file in riffworks it says "file format invalid". i have already checked with line 6 and they couldn't figure it out and said that i should check with sonomawireworks. any ideas what it could be?

Sometimes this happens to me when I log out of Rifflink; the song unloads and I get the 'file format invalid' error, plus the chance to save an error log. If you save an error log, send it to sonoma support and they might be able to get a handle on why yours crashes so frequently.

Hi Murphman,
When you're saving out of RW, check to see where it's going on your hard drive and that it's saving as a .rws file. Likewise, when you 'Open' a file, it should have the .rws file extension.
I'm presuming that you're 'saving' the file using the 'Save as ...' button as opposed to mixing riffs together and saving them out as a .wav or a .ogg file?
Cheers!
Scott
