I´m wondering what the ratio is between Riffworks users from the U.S. and outside the U.S.? It´s just out of curiosity really. My feeling is that the vast majority of users are from the States, like 80% or so. And if that´s the case, I´m kinda interested why. I mean, I bought RW as the recommended recording add on to my Guitarport. I imagine that Guitarport has been sold many times outside the U.S., and I further imagine that the quota of how many Line6 customers go on buying RW won´t differ much between nationalities. Still, the only other German I meet around here is old Jojo Wiese, despite the fact that there´s 83 million of us around :-)

Do SWW do a lot of promo for the standalone RW exclusively in the U.S., so that there´s a lot of extra sales in the New World? Or am I wrong in my perception of where the the community stems from?

Yes, I'd say most of the users come from the US, but there are lots of users from all over the world. Line 6, IK Mutimedia and Sonoma do some promo and more is definitely in order worldwide :-)

Searching for Germany on RiffWorld.com brings up about a dozen members. It will be even more as people add their Location to their profiles.

RiffWorks has been written about in German Mags (search for the word German on the news page http://www.sonomawireworks.com/news.php
and we love to go to Musikmesse whenever possible to demo it over there.

We'll keep working on spreading the word overseas.

Tschüß,
Michelle
