Howdy Guys.

I've been using RW from the start but I never used the Rex Player. What is it? What does it do? Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Bill

It plays rex files.....ie drum and bass loops. You can load them directly into RW as a backing device.

The REX player is a kewl function Bill. Unlike the Instant Drummers where you can only use one at a time, the REX player allows you to play up to 4 REX files at once (including having an ID session playing simultaneously).
Check out the 'Beta Monkey' and 'Session Loops' websites for free downloads.
Cheers!

Bill, It's doddle mate, no bartering needed. Just make sure you have the rex files on your machine, Marty's are some of the best around I have used them on my RR9 entry. Click the backups tab in RiffWorks, then make sure the box is ticked. Then you have 4 options to load Rex files. Just click on one of the 'Load' buttons (doesn't matter which) then a box will open which will allow you to locate the Rex files and select them. That's it really. You can apply effects to them, alter the gain of each of them individually, and pan them. Just get in there press some buttons and play. If you don't like what you hear just select clear and they will be gone. I tend to put all my Rex files in a folder in Riffworks so I can find them easily.
