Hi.

I have the Line6 Toneport GX and use it with RW Line6 edition on a WinXP Pro. All playback from the Toneport and RW goes through my soundcard which is a cheap native on my motherboard. My guess is that I could do better with a high-quality soundcard instead.

What role does the soundcard play relative to to the Toneport when working/recording with RW? Which are the best/recommended soundcards for RW? I read the FAQ but could only find a list of ASIO devices recommended.

Regards,

I disabled my Creative soundcard cos it was playing havoc with my Line6 and TASCAM audio drivers. I now record and playback only using my TASCAM US-428 hooked up to my TonePort UX2.
Cheers!
Scott

I can use my Creative X-FI card with riffworks and it works great....with ASIO4ALL not the useless Creative Asio drivers.
