any m-audio xp users?

im trying to switch from guitarport to a m-audiofirewire 410.i unistalled guitarport and followed the instructions for 410 firewire and it will not show up.im using a pent3 hp 1gig ram.i wonder if these are tough to install and will it work with rw

Shouldn't be a problem...unless you are using the Line6 version of RiffWorks?

Looking at some of your older posts I think you are on RW Standard which should be fine. The M-Audio 410 is on the recommended list too.

I've been using a Focusrite Saffire (Firewire) with RW and XP for a very long time now, and beyond making sure the ASIO drivers are installed there's not much more to it other than selecting the device in RW's Audio Setup button.

FWIW you shouldn't have to uninstall Gearbox/Guitarport either, though Gearbox doesn't work with anything other than Guitarport.

Gearbox also works with Toneport :)

From what I understand (which isn't a lot, I assure you) Gearbox works with most standard Line6 devices, except the odd few that have their own controller software.

this soundcard is great,the only thing is i geuss i have to leave it on because the computer sometimes does not reconize it
