I have been using it for a while now ( I have the line6 version by the way)
My main use for it ia as a teaching tool for my guitar students, It is very handy for timing training. I find that if i can get them to play a phrase into it and have a smooth loop around with no percieved bump in timing as a phrase loops around it is a good thing!!
We often times use it as a scratch tracker to excellent effect.
It is a great brainstorming tool and qn invaluable song crafting tool.
I will often times record guitar, bass and vocal tracks and mix them down to seperate wavs and then can use them to import into any DAW I'm using at the time.
I like to use Reaper and I have Toontracks EZDrummer, a Line6 TonePort UX2 with every available software option including the Gearbox VST gold kit and Between Riffworks and these tools There is a lot of power.
I am as close to useless as any man could be and still breathe your air and darken your dooestep

Nice setup, and I can see how it would be a great learning tool as well.

Thanks for your posting your review.

Thanks for letting us know how you feel about riffworks. ;)

As you have discovered, Riffworks has many more uses beyond what people might expect from an easy-to-use yet powerful recording platform. Since I started using Riffworks 3 years ago, I have seen all kinds of people increase their metronome sense, understanding of new rythyms, and song writing skills to the Nth power while using this revolutionary software, and have a tonne of fun while doing it.

Riffworks is empowering musicians. smile
