Rich, Tom,

I'm glad you guys were able to hop in...

As for the referrals, I appreciate your good intentions. Actually, I asked a question in the KVR forum whether you can send your referrals to me after the fact. If possible, it would be great to do so, if you have time, if not, the pleasure will be all mine, if you enjoy the software.

My nickname there is also "garchev". I'll let you know if I got an answer.

Cheers,

Tom, Rich,

I just got an answer from KVR. If possible, send an e-mail to "Email allen (at) esoundz (dot) com he will help you out for sure" as it says in the answer. It is a 5-10% discount on a future group buys so it would be nice of you.

You can see the answer here: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=215040&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=885

FWIW, you can only use the "epoints" for downloadable software which, doesn't include all of the name brand products. I sent Allen an email in any case so, let me know if/when you get the points?

Thanks for hookin' this up Garchev!! Should be a lot of fun :)

Thanks guys. Are we receiving the rex2 with the delivery, or it is a download only?

no idea, I'm holding off on the download until I receive the software just in case its a one shot deal. I'll likely burn it to disc.

I downloaded them. It's just a sampling of Sonic Reality loops but you could create a few songs from these. Some of them sound REALLY good :)

I realize this is kind of old, but I wonder how you guys have liked the Drum Core program. I am looking for an easy and robust way to expand on the RW ID's. Dont get me wrong, the ID are a great idea / tool. Just looking for something new.

How are you guys using the program, using it as a Rewire or Rex files??

Thanks - 28if

It's the only one of its kind (that I know of) and I LOVE IT!! The sound quality of the loops is amazing and the way you can organize and preview everything is equally awesome! Makes it very quick to find what you want and get going.

Important! One thing you need to know...

While Drumcore does work with RiffWorks it may not be exactly what you think. You can use ReWire to sync up Drumcore (this is easy) but you'll have to "mix to riff" to get it on its own layer or, what I do is record the outputs of my sound card back into the inputs of RiffWorks (make sure you turn down the gain in RiffWorks though or, it's FEEDBACK CITY!!). This way you can play loops and record them onto their own riff layer so you can change to another loop in Drumcore. Otherwise, you're stuck with just one loop through ReWire and that's no good!

So, it requires some workarounds to get things going but it's WELL worth it IMO. Tom "Charvelguy" and a few other RW users bought this as well so maybe they will chime in with additional thoughts....

If you do get Drumcore and need help just email me....

I'm installing mine this week actually. I wanted to wait until I got my quad core up n running on a new system before I used the key.

You haven't checked it out yet?!! Wow! You're in for a treat :D

Let us know how/if you like it. I think you will find the sound quality superior to most of what's out there and the ability to audition loops in real time and sort by BMP, style, etc. is AWESOME!

You got all the extras from that deal too right? The more I think about it, the more lucky I feel that we got in on that :)
