I'm dying to figure out how to my riffworks through my computer speakers.

Setup:

Guitar to Line 6 POD XT Live

Line 6 POD XT Live headphone jack to computer line in

How can I get Riffworks to play through computer speakers now?

As stupid as this may sound, did you ensure the input/line in is not muted? Remove the little red check mark and check your levels......it should work the way you have it setup.

Push come to shove, plug your speakers directly into the headphone out on the POD.

Hi - I use L6 POD XT Live too, but I use USB cable between POD and PC/laptop. PC headphone output is connected to POD Aux Input and headphones/stereos are connected to POD output.

It works fine and quality of sound is good.

If you want to use computer speakers - can you connect them to POD output (if them are active speakers)?

Using ASIO4ALL, as long as the option is a green note you can change the output to your soundcard, and then change it back again when you want to use headphones.

Personally...I sometimes have a driver conflict upon resetting with an MAudio driver and it won't switch back to toneport so easily..it takes several attempts.

I have the same problem. I am using a TonePort UX1 USB and I can not get any sound to my computer speakers. I was told that I should purchase a cable with a 1/4" on one end and an 1/8" jack on the other end and connect the 1/4" to my Toneport headphone jack and the other end to my soundcard on my computer. Is there a better way to do this?

If your speakers are powered (as most are), you'll want to get the connections/adapters for the R & L 1/4" analog outs in the back of the toneport into the speakers. The toneport has a right and a left 1/4" out that will need to be connected to a 1/8" stereo female (where you plug in your speakers). Time to hit radio shack or the net for a splitter (stereo female into right and left mono male) and some adapters to convert from 1/8" to 1/4".

This will do until you take it the next step and get some good powered moniters that will plug directly into the back of the Toneport. I have the M-Audio BX5a moniters and I love 'em.

This way you can also have your heaphone jack dedicated to headphones.
