There's a thread going on over at the Line6 X3 Series forum where a potential RW user is asking questions about how we like RiffWorks and what all he can do with it.
I thought it would be good for any Line6 guys and RW old timers to chime in.
The X3 does not presently support the Line6 RW version and there are a whole bunch of users new to modeling and recording who have bought a X3(L). So, that particular forum doesn't get much RW coverage because the new guys can't use L6's version and they don't know about Standard.
I thought it a good idea to enlighten the new members about what we all dig about RW whether you are into the X3 or not.
I know that the Ds and r and m don't need to spam RW but it would be educational for the members that don't know about SWW to hear from other users here, other than me (Hey_Joe over there) about all the cool things we can do and you have done as well as the whole RiffWorld, RiffCaster, RiffRumble scene.

Here's the link if you are interested in laying down your 2 cents to the readers over there:

How's it going guys, long time... I have been here incognito and was laying low and radiating during the RiffWorld tests.
Have a good holiday!

I did... but he keeps asking more questions and I thought that other people reading the thread would benefit by hearing from a few of the members here about what a great thing RW is.

the one guy who has been asking questions just wrote:
YOu've sold it to me!!!

Do you know if you can record vocals??? It sounds worth getting regardless.

Over the months since the release of the X3 Series others have brought up RW but since Line6 is slow on making it compatible for the X3 with their version of RiffTracker most guys are backing away from it and have no idea about Standard and what they can do with it. Somehow Line6 has attracted a new wave of users and most are unaware of RiffWorks...I think that Slinger is the only other member I know of that is on the X3 board so not much info is getting out about RW and RiffWorld...a very few number of forum members are currently trying to pass wav files around with just one of the free Line6 backing tracks (they did it once before)...seems to me they should know about RiffWorld since they are actively attempting to collaborate. I would think that the junkies would want some new prospects for collabs. I think all the guys over there that can connect their L6 device via USB ought to know about RiffWorld...very few do...it's a large community.

I'm not surprised to hear that. Line 6 has seemed pretty out of touch for a while now (to me at least).

All RiffWorks really needs right now is the right promotion. Nothing else competes in this class of no-nonsense, guitarist-oriented recording!!!
