Hi,
all the riff gurus and users, I desperately hope you guys can help me out

When I doubleclick on my Riffworks icon, the program load up but a window stating,
"Riffwork did not exit correctly,Would you like to try to recover last song file?" came out.

If I choose "Yes" the program will continue to load but the mouse pointer will never change to arrow and seems as if it trying to continue loading the program and I guess hang there ( The program cannot exit even though I click on the 'X' button.

If I choose "No" the program will continue to load but at the right window beside the record button, It states " loading metronome: hi cowbell". and the program stuck/ hang there.

I had tried the demo of Riffworks and it is running smoothly and these made me to buy the software and now bleep happen.

I had email the support but it seems, other than replying and pointing me to the installation guide that does not help me at all. They seems not to bother in answering my subsequent email to them.

Tks in advance

You might find that a previous Riffworks crash has left it running as a process. Use the Task Manager (in Windows) and click on the processes tab, scroll down and see if Riffworks is still showing as a running process, if so click "end process"

Another possiblility is the ASIO drivers hanging, exit Riffworks, unplug the USB cable, wait a few seconds, replug the USB cable then restart Riffworks.

If this fails, a reboot usually sorts it.

Good luck, hope this helps.
No-one remembers what you do or say. Everyone remembers how you made them feel. Allegedly !!!!

yhoosan, here's a couple older threads that might help. Typically this problem relates to an issue with audio drivers (not just in RiffWorks, I've had ASIO drivers hang up other audio programs in the same manner). Have you installed any new programs or interfaces since you tried the demo?
