Great job! Guys,

I already see much much better VST Compatibility.

just a small question?
Has the audio engine been optimized too as i kinda like how some of my pre recorded riffs are sounding.

Regards,
Amit

Oh yeah? That's great. Can you tell us which VSTs work for you? We should compile a list. :)

Here are few a few I use with RW and tested to be working

EnergyXT 1.4 (never worked in earlier versions)
voxengo boogex (cab sim)
KeFIR (impuse cab sim)
BBE Sonic Maximizer
JVM900. (simulanalog jcm900 gui clone)

Which Don't work :
Any non gui vst plugin that relies on the host for GUI. like pvtransp (excellent pitch detuner).

Also some plugins that rely on hosts to show their presets dont work either (as for preset loading).

Thx guys.

Riff loading on rifflink seems to be way faster on my box. The song itself loaded in about 15 seconds, whereas before it was minutes. However, the drums still take bloody ages to load. They might load real quick accross your LAN but it is terribly slow over the Internet. For me, this kills creativity more than hearing the drums as recorded. I've said it before; I would prefer an option to turn this off; I was never a fan of it in the first place. I would rather have the ability to drop into a collab, load it up quickly, listen, and move on to the next one. As it is I have to set aside twenty minutes just to load one, and by that time I am in no mood to play anything anyway. Please, in a future update put in a checkbox to allow us to disable drum loading.

Dave.

Hmmm, I tried to load the biggest colab I could find and it took one minute and forty seconds. My connection is getting 8Mbps which is pretty good I guess for USA.

I love the drum feature, it's basically streaming a stereo layer along with every riff, right? I don't think that one thing is what is giving you guys slow loading.

I remember emailing 50 Mb and higher files back and forth just to colaborate, that used to take forever. It's pretty amazing what is going on here.

Mines is also very slow too, plus I can't record! only playback and listen. I keep getting message saying R/Works is using my system default Audio device and
Audio set-up requires an Audio device...Which I had!! but for some reason now
I don't??. I have been onto the support team for some feedback , but if anyone on here can throw any light on this I would greatly appreciate it....Thanx!!

Cheers .....Ian.

Ian, shutdown RW, unlug your USB to your toneport or whatever you are using. Replug, wait 10 secs, restart Riffworks...

Try clicking on the audio setup button and seeing if your Asio device is listed... If not you may need to reinstall your drivers. Have you checked with the monkey for upgrades?

Anybody help here!!..Still trying to get into riffworks to record and still getting the same old BOLLOCKS. It keeps saying,Riffworks is using my system default audio device?? and that the audio set-up requires an ASIO device.Which I did have until after the upgrade .Now when i attempt to go onto R/Works and check my ASIO...
I just get...Unhandled Exception and a damn advertisment on purchase prices for
stealth plug and Tone portUX2...Which i don't need as I use the POD xt live which
works fine or did recently with R/works. I have checked all my Drivers and they are all working fine and upgraded.Has anyone else on here got the same problem or is it just me??..Sorry for sounding off like a pain in the ass,but this is all becoming one. Would just like some clarification as to what is going on and what has to be done.

Cheers......Ian
