Hello,
it's me again...but this time I got a real problem:

I downloaded and installed the new update but...
Everything seems to be ok, I loaded a song and worked on it...then I saved and I thought it was all right.
A couple of hours later I started again Riffworks and loaded the song and...there was NOTHING!!!
No layers, no drums, nothing...and when I try to play the program simply crashed down and I got an alert message sayin' "Riffwork inexpected closure".
AAAAAARRRGGGHHH!!!I LOST EVERYTHING!!!
So I tried to create a new song, I played a layer and saved it and then, after closing the program, I started again and reloaded the last file but...it's the same!
No layers, no drummers, and when I click on PLAY the program crashes down!!!

Unfortunately I did not have anymore the previous riffworks version so...

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Me again,
I fortunately found an old installer so now I got the version 2.1.0.2710 installed which is working perfectly. I tried downloading and installing again the newest udate but...it's the same: when I save a file and then I load it everything it's void and, if I click on play, the program crashes!!!

Just curious how did you perform your update to ver 2.2?

i have similar mac, riffworks line6 edition rev 2.10/0 build 2710, toneport di gold,

I never get the "update screen" after launching riffworks - as described on this forum. Line6 monkey never shows this update 2.2 either.

i registered - looks like I'm sorted it out - now downloading the update. I'll report my findings - i.e. no save of tracks.

Yes - I can confirm - the latest Riffworks Line 6 Edition Rev 2.2.0 build 2914 - HAS MAJOR SAVE PROBLEM. - On the Mac Version.

Initially "Save" appears to work, but close the application, relaunch Riffworks, and try to load your saved song. CRASH BIG TIME - same error message

Here' the Error report info:

Date/Time: 2008-06-21 11:27:25.442 -0700
OS Version: 10.4.11 (Build 8S2167)
Report Version: 4

Command: RiffWorks
Path: /Applications/RiffWorks Line 6 Edition.app/Contents/MacOS/RiffWorks
Parent: WindowServer [61]

Version: ??? (2.2.0.2914)

Ironically - if I try to load older songs created with version 2.10 - it all works fine. its only when trying to play songs created with version 2.2 = CRASH

I updated as well on a Windows XP machine numerous times but it never updates to 2.2 2914. Just stays on the 2.1 2805 what gives?

Not sure what your issue might be Muddhole. Are you sure you are running the new updater that you are downloading and not an old one still in your downloads folder? The updater should be named UpdateRiffWorks(Standard/Line6Edition)V2_2_2914.exe

thanks,

Try using some data recovery software to get it back; though with HFS that is often tricky.

I have had good success with this one thoug:

http://www.r-tt.com/

They have a trial that will 'see' the file but will only recover part of it. It is pretty cheap to buy though, depending on how much you want the song file.
