My understanding is it's a new limited function version, similar to the demo version :)

well..it has the studio devil...a new modeler layout in the VST. Kinda cool actually or seems so. I'm going to have to play with this a bit more later.

RiffWorks T4 is a new, free edition of RiffWorks that has more features than RiffWorks Demo, but less than Standard - it's explained here:
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/T4/

Anyone with RiffWorks Demo will want RiffWorks T4.

Yes, it comes with Studio Devil BVC which is downloadable for free here to use with RiffWorks Standard: http://www.studiodevil.com/products/

And RW T4 comes with AmpliTube 2 Duo which has less features than AmpliTube 2 Live that comes with Standard: http://www.amplitube.com/Main.html?prod_ATDUO.php

So if you already have RiffWorks Standard, there's no need to download RiffWorks T4.

If you have RiffWorks Line 6 Edition, you can crossgrade to Standard to use other VSTs like Studio Devil, AmpliTube Duo LE, etc. Crossgrade info:
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/guide/index.php/Riffworks_Crossgrade

We're doing a quiet release of RiffWorks T4, a minor 2.2.1 update to RiffWorks Standard and RiffWorks Line 6 Edition (Mac & Win), integrating a new universal login system for our services, and upgrading the RiffLink server today through the weekend. We will be announcing it more publicly on Mondayish. We've testing everything thoroughly...just making sure all goes smoothly through the weekend.

Cheers,
Michelle

Great, the T4 sounds like just the ticket for testing out the software. I'm gonna spread the word about it. People need to know how special this software is.

Exactly, a virtual 4 track with extra goodies - and it can record 24 layers in RiffLink...

ahhh, the plot thickens, exposure to the masses. I guess I won't ask why, but it would seem a good vehicle for that...you have your reasons for being more low key about it. Well..it is on the front of the homefront tho..but RL is still in 'no pay' mode and all so I suspect it has something to do with that.

You'd think that anyone who'd ever picked up an instrument would have been all over RW from the getgo, but hey, I've always overestimated the 'public' when it comes to ANYTHING computer-related. I think alot of musicians (especially us older guys) are intimidated by software gadgets. I know one guy down in FL that I'd LOVE to do some rifflinking with (the guy's truly a guitar-monster-chord-god-dude-thing) but I know I'll never get him to look at it cuz it's a computer package that's NOT pro-tools. He seems to put alot of stock in pro-tools, probably because he's heard many many professionals wax poetic about it. Only thing is, he'd NEVER use pro-tools cuz it would be waaay over his head technically.

I don't get it. This is a guy who was not afraid to take his entire amp apart in the 80's to 'tweak' it. But downloading a demo and giving something a try is apparently a bit too tricky for him...... Unfortunately, it's our loss cuz he's a great guy and a great musician. He went really religious at the end of the 80's. But I see no reason why Jesus wouldn't use riffworks as well.

"I think the problem might have been, that there was a stonehenge monument on stage in danger of being crushed, by a dwarf". "I really think you're making a big thing out of this". "Making a big thing out of it would have been a good idea".

 I reckon you're getting as daft as me Beau !!!

Get this, I went, with Mickey, back to the shop in Winter Haven FLA where I bought my Pod XT Live, spoke to the same guy (The shops' Guitar man) who sold me it, told him how thrilled I was to have acquired the Line6 version of RiffWorks as part of the deal etc etc etc. He gave me a totally blank look and said he had no idea what I was talking about, he'd never heard of RiffWorks  To add insult to injury, apart from Mickey and I, nobody else in the shop had heard of it either

How can we do the Sonoma Gang a favour and make everybody aware of this fantastic software ???????????????????????, I'm fully aware of the extortionate costs of advertising around the world today so I don't expect Sonoma to be digging themselves into that hole, I paid fortunes in UK to advertise my business, a complete waste of money, for instance, the only call I ever got from a Yellow Pages ad was a wrong number . There ain't nothing like word of mouth, I reckon, allegedly ;)

I suppose (like your number) we could write a song about it? Or Mickey could finally redo the original "RiffCaster demo" like he's been talking about?
