RiffWorks Version 2.2.1.2930 update released for both RiffWorks Standard and RiffWorks Line 6 Edition V2 (Windows and Mac OS).

• Launch RiffWorks and download the update when prompted.
• Double-click the installer file and follow the on-screen installation instructions

Improvements Include:

• Fix MacOS song saving.
• Fix Walkthrough on Mac Line 6 edition.
• Fix crash deleting Riff1 on MacOS.
• Fixed bugs causing MacOS to crash.
• Add Greek, Russion, Japanese and Danish Quick Start tutorials.
• Fixed ctrl-click for right click on MacOS

MacOS RW Standard and AmpliTube 2 Live
We switched from AudioUnits to VST plugins on the mac for various reasons. If you got AmpliTube 2 Live from our store previously, you need to download the most recent AmpliTube installer (v2.0.2) either from our store or from IK in order to get the VST plugin, as we were only installing the AU before.

Please let us know if you encounter any problems with this build. Feel free to post in this this thread or contact support directly at http://www.sonomawireworks.com/support_form.php

Exactly which avatar problem are you referring to? Sorry if I sound like a broken record, but there have been a few different avatar issues and I need summarized specifics to be able to address your specific bug. :)

When we dupe a riff in a collab all the layers become the person who duped the riff, so you can't tell who played what. Also, if you click on the avatar it takes you to that persons Riffworld profile. It makes mixing a nightmare. Although I have to say, being able to make all pooters riff seem as if I played them has some benefits...

This isn't a bug. The point of the avatar is to show you who "owns" the layer. If you duplicate a riff, you then "own" all the layers within the riff. We know this isn't entirely clear so we're looking into ways of showing who recorded vs. who owns the layer. Right now there's no way to show both so we defaulted to showing who owns the layer.

I hope that clears things up,

Good job it makes sense to you then Randy, I don't think it makes sense to any of us ;)

It seems Cwightys' symptoms are worsening and even I have started talking bollocks now

Randy, It didn't used to be this way before the last but one Beta upgrade. If I duped a riff, it would show me as the 'owner' of the riff (i.e. only I could alter the drums), but all the avatars would stay linked to the original person who played each layer. The way it is now makes mixing a nightmare, because it's difficult to tell who played what on a duped riff.

What's with the 'STARTED talking bollocks now' Bill? :) So what were you doing before?

And I am really Hank Marvin....honest......won;t anyone believe me?

Right, we intentionally changed the behavior to what you see now.

My advice would be to simply name each part before coping/duping a riff. I don't exactly understand why knowing who created each layer would change how you would go about mixing the song. It's nice to know what instrument each part is though for sure.

(editorial note....my use of English is appalling, I've had to edit this post 4 times already)

It's also nice to know who the dude is that is playing the killer licks, or not.....and funny enough we relate parts to people.....if you see what I mean.... I can't speak for everyone, but I suspect there aren't many people who like this 'intentional' change.....That's an awful lot of trouble renaming layers etc. Most people don;t do it (i know....lazy bstds)....but hey we are talking about guitarists here.....and it could be worse....it could be drummers......please.....please....please....:) I'm begging now this is not a pretty sight....:)

Your English is great!

We know this isn't ideal as it is stands, but it wasn't good the way it was before. Like I said earlier, we're looking into making a solution that shows who owns and who created the layer. Until such time, you'll just need to live with it. :)

Now stop complaining and go enjoy the application. haha

I just gotta have the last word here (well maybe not) :) ....the way it was before we could tell who owned the riff AND who played what layer. We liked life that way guv...honest.......we are simple folk.....And I'll always enjoy this application there's nothing that comes near it...ask my wife....!....but that quest for perfection........
