Hi robmc,
The crash on RiffWorks Line 6 Edition has a work around:
Launch the program, first time it crashes, second time it works.
Turn HARDWARE monitoring off, then on again.
Now quit.
It won't crash next time you launch.
The crash only happens if you turn off HARDWARE monitoring before quitting.
I will work on a fix for this ASAP.

thanks,
dug

Thanks Dug. I'll check it out when I get home (at work at the moment - TGIF).

Cheers,
Rob

Hi Dug. Sorry, but the workaround doesn't work for me. When I boot up Riffworks, hardware monitoring is off (i.e. the light is red on that button). I followed your instructions but it still crashes each time I boot it up. It also comes up saying that the guitarport is not detected. Looks like I'm stuck with saying no to the update for now. By the way, does saying no to the update affect my ability to riffcast songs to the website? Yesterday the old version kept giving me a message saying that I couldn't post and should try again later.

Hi Rob,

It's going to crash the first time you launch, because of the bug.
Launch it again.
Turn the HARDWARE button off (light off).
Turn it back on.
Quit.
Because RW crashed, you'll need to unplug your GuitarPort for 5 secs.
Now when you start RiffWorks, it should not crash and see the guitar port.
As long as you don't turn off HARDWARE it should be fine.

I am working on a fix for this one, so you won't be stuck like this for long.

thanks,
dug
