ARGG!! if ONLY RW had a good normal complete working VST and effects plugin support, I wouldnt need any thing else or need to rewire! its so silly, after I'm finished with a song ,I would solo on all my guitar to export as wav alone, then drums along to a seperate wave aswell, and layer them in cubase to have more freedom and just so I can use my VST instrumnets!!, and god forbid if I wanna make a quick change! I would have to go back to riffworks then do the layering all over again, pisses me off. smartest #1 software around for guitarists but LACKING SO MUCH

Your right, VST input is very basic. I'm wondering what the performance of having VST on all the little riffs in riffworks would be like, probably not good. Those kind of features are better with a traditional linear sequencer.

Maybe a good compromise would be an easier way to export and import riffs as longer files the length of the song. Or to be able to merge riffs into the songbar where vst's could be applied only once to longer files that were originally recorded in chunks.

Either way Riffworks suits me just fine as is, love it, but if I was a keyboardist or midi drummer I'd probably have to look elsewhere.

Support for VST instruments would be great. We wouldn't have to use rewire anymore, which suits me just fine as I'm no great fan of rewiring applications. And I think the workflow of Riffworks (riffs and layers) doesn't go very well with rewiring.

I think it would be pretty difficult to implement vst instrument support. It's an entirely different game compared to vst effects.

Anyway, let's see what the future will bring.
Michelle, can you tell us something about the plans for the near future concerning Riffworks?

All in all, it's a fine application as it is...nothing can beat it in terms of productivity.

Hi,

Thanks for all your suggestions.

Some of the VSTi features you are discussing are on our list for a future version of RiffWorks. Can't say much more than that in regards to the future, other than we are always listening to our customers wishes, and our goal is to keep RiffWorks easy, fun, and productive.

Cheers,
Michelle
