I am interested in Riff Works but for the time being T4 is my only option.

1. If I buy some of the drummer packs, will they work with the free RW T4 version?

2. Which kits are included with RW Standard download version, so that if I buy at some stage I don't double up on kits and drummers?

Hi puppyaxe,

Welcome to RiffWorks!

Yes all the InstantDrummer sessions in the store work with the free RiffWorks T4: http://www.sonomawireworks.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2

and they'll work with RiffWorks Standard if/when you upgrade to Standard.

These 9 InstantDrummer Sessions (each approx. 50MB) come with RiffWorks Standard and they are NOT available as separate purchases in the store, so don't worry about buying them accidentally:

Afro Island Grooves by Sonoma Wire Works
Bare Bones by Discrete Drums
Habanero Groove by Drums On Demand
Half Nelson by Drums On Demand
Matt Sorum Basic by Submersible Music
Mekanic Beats by Sonoma Wire Works
RAW Funk Grooves by Sonic Reality
Trash Funk by Sonoma Wire Works
When I Drum Around by Drums On Demand

Cheers,
Michelle

Puppyaxe here. I tried to buy a drum pack and my puppyaxe login was not accepted. So I tried to email support and I need a SonomaKey for that. So I made new login details, confirmed by email address and tried to login with that. It wouldn't accept it saying I need a SonomaKey. So I came back to the forum to try to ask what was going on and my Puppyaxe login was no longer accepted. So now I have made another one which some some reason unknown to me works.

So long story short is, I came here to buy something. Not possible. I tried to email support. Not possible. I tried to login to the forum. Not possible. And the only way I can login is with details that are meaningless to me as a customer. A little help would be good because I still want to buy from the site but right now I can't, and there is only so much hoop jumping before I give up.

Hi,

Sorry you are having trouble buying drums. I've noticed many people buying drums all day today, so I know the store and systems are working for many people. Lets try to get it working for you (puppyaxe). Did you receive any error messages along the way? I highly recommend you do not create/use multiple accounts. Stick with you original one or things get messed up very quickly.

A SonomaKey is asked for in the support form, but NOT required - and neither is a password, so please go ahead and ask them, and give them as many details as possible. They are the best at helping figure out user name issues and will help sort things out as quickly as possible:

Thanks for your patience and sorry for any trouble.

Cheers,
Michelle

I'm back again with another registration. I sent a message to support but apart from the two other usernames floating about I don't have a problem now. And I bought an Instant Drummer Pack using this username so this is the one I intend to keep using.

Thanks for the help Michelle.

Another question. Can I use Riffworks offline. I noticed when I installed the drum pack I bought that I had to type in my username and password to use them. So how would this work with an offline computer?

You should only have to log on to use Rifflink. The drummer should work in both the RW mode and the Rifflink mode w/o being active online.

Thanks for the reply. All I did was install the drums, load RWT4 and up popped the log on screen. Once I did that the drums I installed showed up.

Its been at least 6 months since I probably bought any instant drummers, but typically the way it has always worked when you installed drummers beforehand is you downloaded them, ran them and they showed installed once RW was opened.

Not to much different from what you have already went thru , but given the new login, it may have changed. I would safely say you won't have to login again to use them in a regular standalone non Rifflink way.

I just bought some more drums, in a vain attempt to catch up with MickeyMix !!! All I had open was my store account downloads, double clicked each downloaded file and a box came up saying your drummer is installed and ready to use, if I remember correctly, this is the way it's always been, you don't need Riffworks running to download or install drummers, allegedly ;)

Have fun puppyaxe, ailerom ar whatever you finish up calling yourself, don't bank on anyone else here calling you a name you choose, they usually find one or more of their own to call ya

Uncle, soon to be Uncle Great Grandad, Bill

P.S. Don't tell anyone else here I'm gonna be a Great Grandad, it's top secret !!!!!
No-one remembers what you do or say. Everyone remembers how you made them feel. Allegedly !!!!

Ailerom, have you figured this out yet? can you provide a screenshot of the dialog box you are seeing? It sounds very weird - mind you I don't have T4 - but as far as I know it shouldn't want usernames to use ID's.

Well it only asked for it once and now it is gone. Maybe T4 needs to be registered to use the drum packs? Yes? anyway, the pack works so I am happy. Just worried if I bought RW Standard and drumpacks I would not be able to install them offline.

Thanks everyone.

P.S. I am Eilerom.
