ok gang....got a question....im having trouble getting my drums right in my songs, what i wanna do is....have a steady beat ( raw grooves) 108bpm....then say come in with a cymbal crash maybe mid way or a tom tom roll..then have it switch back to the steady beat, without the cymbal or toms repeating over and over...any advice?

Try getting hold of some rex files. RWS comes with a rex player and, with the right file, it should give you some added possibilities. "Drums On Demand" and "Session Loops" are good. One of our good forum buddies, Marty Kolak, has also made some free ones and you can get the download link here -> http://www.sonomawireworks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=4184
Cheers!

You could always break the riff into smaller riffs..and set up a small one bar riff for the roll if one is present in that particular drummer. I have had to resort to some pretty funky tactics to get what I want out of the ID sessions......but as stated above REX files are much easier to work with.

I personally use cymbal shot rex files to fill in my tunes in various intervals......just to fill in where the ID may come up short.
