I've just purchased the GearBox/Riff Works/Guitar Port box set...cost me $200 and it will not activate the Riff Works part. In the Line 6 Monkey it was activated and shows it to be ok, but when I open the Riff Works program it tells me "Activating Riff Works failed, Please contact Line 6 Technical support". So, i can't save any of the song i created because of this. I've emailed the company, but don't expect an answer there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thx.

"Activating Riff Works failed, Please contact Line 6 Technical support"

Unfortunately this means that you actually do need to contact Line 6 directly. There's not much we can do if the RiffWorks V2 Line 6 Edition activation process has a problem. We don't have access to the Line 6 activation system, license keys, etc. I responded to the email you sent support today with Line 6's customer support number. I'm sure they can straighten this out for you.

what internet provider are you using! i had the same problem with riffworks line 6 edition. they never could figure out how to help me! but i do have a solution, read carefully.... get online and contact msn! yes msn dialup! then activate msn free 30 day trial! then set up msn dialup. once you do that you will be able to access line6 monkey and download all your driver updates and activate riffworks! IT WILL WORK! that was truly the only way for me to do it cause there was a problem with line6 monkey and my service provider interacting! it will take a little longer to do this but it will be worth it,i can testify to that! download at night while you are aslepp and like xmas morning you will wake up satisfied! once you have downloaded all your updates and activated riffworks, call up msn and say, uhhh! i'm not really happy with the service and i would like to cancel please! and all will be well! they will ask for a credit card, but they will not take any money if you cancel before the 30 days are up! absolutley try this and you will not be disappointed! i promise it works! it's kind of a hassel but like i said for me it was truly the only way! good luck and let me know if you need any more help! sincerly, travis!

Cianide bought a rifftracker package but had a regular guitarport inside. Line 6 issued him a new liscense key that solved his trouble. These activation issues with Line 6 can drive a person batty!
