Hi everybody, 1st post here!!!
I just installed RiffWorks Standard on my Mac G4/OSX 10.4.11 and I am using my Digi002 control surface as my A/D converter and can not seem to get RiffWorks to not crash on initialization of application????

Here is what happens step-by-step

1. Upon launching RiffWorks the Digi CoreAudio Manager appears and I believe it initiates a handshake with the 002

2. RiffWorks opens and Digi CoreAudio Manager disappears (to background processing???)

3. RiffWorks states it is "CLOSING SONG"

4. RiffWorks then states "LOADING RIFF:riff1

5. RiffWorks CRASHES..!

Is this clear as mud??? LOL

**If I run my Digi002 control surface in "STANDALONE' mode then RiffWorks will launch and appear stable although at this point RiffWorks does not recognize my "Audio Input" signal... LOL

I know this is a tricky one, is a Digi002 control surface unsupported as an interface or is there some kind of minor tweak needed to get up and running????

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan, welcome to the forum!

It sounds like an audio driver problem. I did find one other thread hear with a Digi002 user last year that seemed to have the same issue. I would suggest putting in a support ticket (http://www.sonomawireworks.com/support_form.php) to make sure the Sonoma crew get visibility as sometimes things get lost on the forum. Also, you might look to make sure you have the latest CoreAudio drivers from Digidesign.

Hi Garret, thank you for wanting to help me here. Okay I just made the move and upgraded to Pro Tools 7.4 on my mac running Tiger 10.4.11, and I also ran the ptle74cs5_49146.dmg upgrade so I am current as can be with Digi.

Still no love with Riffworks, crashes consistently. I sent the log file via email.
Thanks my friend!!!!!

Pro Tools drivers clash with RiffWorks .......a good friend of mine had to uninstall Protools on his Mac to get RW's up and running.....he never ever touches Pro Tools anymore.........

Hi Mickey, thanks for the info, clearly that is not an option around here... LOL
pro tools stays..!

Not unless there is some way for me to create a 'dual boot' mac and 1 partition is dedicated to RW??? any thought s on this concept?

I really want to use RW but PT is the King in my empire.
