Having gone through the tortuous process of downloading riffworks for $99, and registering with sonoma for my non existent drum tracks, I can now not record anything. I have a toneport UX1 and gearbox, but whenever i try to to record now, it says that I don't have an ASIO device. ??

I have already wasted hours on this and probably wasted a lot of money.

I don't find any of this to be at all instinctive or user friendly and feel inclined to go back to Audacity, since at least there what you see is what you get.

Can anyone change my opinion here, with some assistance?

Hiswrg. First thing to try is to check you have the latest drivers. Make sure you have Line6 Monkey installed and run it. It will check your drivers for you. If everything is up to date. Shut the Monkey down, make sure riffworks is closed as well, then unplug the USB to your toneport, wait 15 secs then replug it. Wait another 20 secs or so then restart riffworks.
