Hello, Riffworks Is A Great Program But I Don't Understand Some Little Diffect (perhaps I Only Must Know The Solutions...)...

The Player Could Play And Record Better And With More Truthfully If A Recording Button Was On The Whole Song Layer And Not Only For A Single Riff.

For Example A Big Obstacle Occurs When You Want Close A Riff With A Final Note That You Want To Fall On The Beginning Of The Next Riff...

I Think It's Enough Important! It's Not Natural Record A Second Riff To Play The Final Of The Previous Riff ... Do You Think?

P.s.could I Use Line 6 Gearbox Plugins For Mixing?

Which Way For Fading On The Mixing?

Exist A Riffworks Mixing/mastering Toolkit To Control Recording Fully ?

I'm Sorry But I Don't Speak English Very Well...i Hope...you Understand

Thank You Very Much

Hi, there are various ways to do this. First, if you finish on a note in one riff that you want to sustain over into the next riff, just record that note on the start of the next riff. But you can record over the whole song anyway. It's called songlayers. Silver big button the the left of where it says songlayers. No problem helping you, but if you struggle with English I think there is an user manual in Italian. Check with the support people.

There is a function in RiffWorks which allows you to record over the gap between two riffs, effectively allowing audio to run seamlessly between them.

What you do is choose the second of the two riffs to record on to then click the 'Lead in' box. This will show a drop down menu which should include the name of the first riff (the riff that you want to 'lead in' to the second one). Select the first of the two riffs and hit 'Record'. RiffWorks will now record on to 'Riff1' followed directly by 'Riff2'.

A different method would be to use the 'Song Layers' function which does the same thing but over all the riffs contained in the 'Song Line'. This is especially good for vocals where phrasing over riffs is very time consuming to do by using the 'Lead in' function.

Apologies if this doesn't translate effectively ma il mio italiano è molto cattivo! :(
Cheers!

Neither did I, or how it woud work in the song line. I was connecting them by recording my part in each riff layer but continuing the same idea on the other side.

The lead in function is very cool and works just fine :) You just have to be sure you've got your arrangement sorted beforehand, shifting riffs around after you've used it gives some strange effects
No-one remembers what you do or say. Everyone remembers how you made them feel. Allegedly !!!!

Can't you delete the print you recorded over two layers tho? or does this not show up as another layer that you can edit and is more of a 'hard print'?

Yes, you can delete or mute whatever sounds 'naff'.
The 'Lead in' creates a layer in Riff1 and in Riff2 which bridges the gap between them much better than trying to record each riff separately and doing a 'manual' join. Inconsistencies can occur, as Bill says, if you decide to re-arrange riffs with 'lead ins' already recorded on them, i.e. putting riff2 before riff1, without re-doing all the 'lead ins' again.
Cheers!

Ohhhhhhhh........thank You Very Much.... I Have Been A Little Stupid.... But Now I've Understand Something More....very,very Useful.... Italian Instrunctions Are Essential.... However If I Don't Disturbe I Train My Bad English :) .... My Great Problem Was That I Didn't Know Songlayer Was A Button! :)) I'm On A Novice... "lead In" And Other Ways Are Good Too... But I Don't Thing Recording The Final Of The First Riff Directly As The Beginning Of The Next Riff Is A Great Way! :)) Good All The Rest!

Thanks!
