Hey guys, quick question:

Is ToonTrack EZdrummer compatible with Riffworks Line 6 edition? I'm just curious and thought it looks like a cool program. I do like InstantDrummer, but I'm looking for something that has more control and options.

Anybody have thoughts about it? Likes and dislikes? Anybody recommend something different?

Thanks guys!!!

I absolutely love it...but it absolutely does NOT work with RiffWorks today as is. RiffWorks supports VST's but not VSTi's (virtual instrument plugins).

Maybe some of the guys who have been messing with Rewiring to Reaper or other things like Chainer can provide a suggestion that would work here.

Cheers,

J.J.

Reaper works fine with RW either with rearoute (an asio driver included in reaper) or rewire. Personally, I prefer rearoute. Launch reaper, then RW and select rearoute as input in RW.

Don't you get latency with ReaRoute? How is the delay? I should really play with that option some more....

Correction: I must say that rearoute is fine to record layers in RW, like basses, synths, etc. I wouldnt use it for EZDrummer since there is no synchronization. For EZDrummer, rewire is probably better.

blue4u: I've not used rearoute so much lately, but I worked on it like two months ago and it was perfect. As I say above, it is good for recording layers with vst instruments.
