I've only played TonePort & Riffworks on the computer. Am I able to use them live on an amp? Am I able to use my laptop to connect, via TonePort, to my live amplifier? In other words: can I use it as an effects box when playing through an amp?

I have wondered the same thing. I wouldn't see why not as long as the connectors are matching up so they can be incorportated into the effects loop. It's likely there would be a few bugs to workabout. As I said, I've never tried it, but have entertained the prospect-I rarely play thru my amps much nowadays as it is.

I've tried it. It's like using a Pod but you only have a line level analog out so you have to go into the effects return or you'll clip the regular input. What kind of amp is it?

It's a Crate (mid-size, loud, around 120 Watt, I think). Been a while since I used it. I appreciate your time!
