Seriously it's like being in the software equivalent of the Bermuda triangle. It just disappears. Anyone else getting this.? I've shut down and restarted my computer, and reinstalled......Still happens.......!

hmm, I get the same when I try to log onto Rifflink. I am able to bring up RW in offline mode, but when I try to connect, 'loading', then it goes bye.

Hi,

You should open a support case with us. There is a link at the bottom of this post. It's a lot easier to help you by email. You should make RiffWorks crash, then send us a log file immediately afterwards. You can find it at one of the following locations, depending on your OS.

XP- C:...My DocumentsSonoma Wire WorksRiffWorksriffworks.log
VISTA- C:Users%Username%DocumentsSonoma Wire WorksRiffworksriffworks.log
OSX- Documents- Sonoma Wire Works- RiffWorks- riffworks.log

Thanks,
Garrett

I sent a log file, there was no dump. I attached it to a response from my prior request for a recharge. I turned off my firewall and AV and it still acts buggy. Maybe you guys aquired a virus?

Hey everyone,

If this is affecting everyone, it definitely sounds like a problem on our end. I may have to make some phone calls, but I will keep you up to date and let you know what I find out as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Garrett

A log file basically records all of RiffWorks' activities while you are using it. It can be found in one of the following locations, depending on your OS:

XP- C:...My DocumentsSonoma Wire WorksRiffWorksriffworks.log
VISTA- C:Users%Username%DocumentsSonoma Wire WorksRiffworksriffworks.log
OSX- Documents- Sonoma Wire Works- RiffWorks- riffworks.log

Until I know more about the problem, I won't need any more log files. I will keep you updated in this thread.

I made a phone call and sent out a couple of emails. I can't tell much of anything from the log files, so we're just going to have to sit tight and wait for a response from one of our engineers.

Thanks for your patience,

My Av (AVG) is acting weird too. I can't update, so I figured the updater was corrupted. I uninstalled the entire thing...now windows is saying corruprtion or 'error need to close' popup box on the fresh installs. Very weird. I'm running spyware and av scans to confirm or dismiss. I also cannot download Avast which has never been on my system at all. I may need to restore to yesterdays settings. I'm not sure if this is related to RW acting weird, but they both started acting up at the same time from my end.
