I have a lot of plugins and it takes a very long time for RW to load. I'd like RW to have a "plugin folder scan" option to be on or off.

Also the option just to scan for new or changed plugins after loading RW would be a great addition.

well it's not an ideal solution, but set up an empty VST folder, then tell riffworks to scan that when it starts. When you want to use a vst with riffworks you'll have to move it into that folder/

Well yes, not always an ideal solution. And I don't think every plugin will work when just dragged to another folder after installation. But for the moment the plugins I want to work seem to be doing ok. And load time is a few seconds.

Most VST's I have come accross are stand-alone in that you move the dll file somewhere else and they still work.

Perhaps RW could have a 'VST manager', where you can select which ones should load on start. There are bound to be some that don't work well with RW anyway so why waste time loading them...
