I know this is not a new question but I have tried everything I know to fix it including ASIOforALL and it will not recognize my Line 6 is strange because I had it running about a month ago.

My other major question is I really want to use the keyboard for synth/piano/organ work and have been studying but to no avail, so I thought I would put it out there for all the smart board members. I am using Reaper on a trial basis and was hoping to be able to use midi files from it to Riff Works. I know that Reason may be my best bet but don't have the $ to spend on it and don't want huge complicated program (why I got Riff Works).

Thanks,
Britt

Since nobody replied to the ASIO question it appears that it is a common issue and we just have to live with it. However, I have not been able to use RF for over a month now and am trying Reaper, but I miss using RF.

It seems that someone at Riffworks should know the answer or suggestions since I have exhausted everything I have read to solve recognizing ASIO. I have RF Standard.

I Don't Know much about KB37, but usually USB is the culprit 89 times outta 100.
Try to unplug the usb cord from puter, wait a minute or so and then plug that back in.

or unplug that, reboot and then plug that back in.
Also check is the power saving option is enabled on the port can be disabled for the usb port u are connecting to.

I have had problems with pod xtl in the past , but switching to a different usb port solved my problems. It likes somes usb ports and hates the others.

Asio4all drivers might not be required at all if it has it own asio interface/drivers.
I Am A Man of Few Words Ironically Understandable by the Select Few, hence more often than not I have to Come out of my Manhood to do the obvious. Now Ain't it a cruel world?

Hi Britt,

Can you confirm that you're using RiffWorks Standard? Please also let us know that you've used the Line 6 Monkey to update your drivers and firmware to the latest versions.

Thanks!

Yes I am using RF Standard and have Line Monkey all up to date. The Line 6 KB37 is recognized by Reaper and I have no problem with Gearbox which I normally open first before RF.

Thanks,
Britt

I think that it possibly may be Reaper and ASIO4ALL do not play very well together.
I'm vaguely recalling I had some issues with these two. They still should be able to co-exist on your system but you may have to play about with the ASIO. I've had some problems with ASIO4ALL and my normal drivers not playing well together at times. (soundblaster or Creative)

Try resetting to the L6 KB37 ASIO. Set that up to the way you want it (latency-packets, in-out.. 1, 2, & 16, 24 bit, etc) load it up, check it to see if it reset the engine (rw) if it did, ...then reopen the ASIO and choose the ASIO4ALL and you should be able to set that up fresh again.

Or, you could also could try to use the L6 KB37 driver with Reaper and see what results that may yield. I don't use Reaper enough to recall if they were compatible.

btw...just so we're on a same page...rf=rw (one in the same)

I hope that helps...but it may not do anything for you. I haven't ran my UX2 and Reaper enough to encounter these issues myself.
