Hi,

This is a rather very minor feature-question that's been flying in circles in my brain for some time, but at last I think of it when online.

Can you move a layer in a riff up or down? I know it's not a significant aspect of the program, but sometimes they move. Or were the walls moving again? Anyway, that'd be quite handy when duplicating a layer to, say, add a delay effect to the last beat of the drums and you cut out the last snare hit and add a delay. Then that duplicated layer is all the way down, and my drums are all the way up. I'm just a nitpicking, over-tidy person, but does it work?

Doesn't work, and I wish it did, especially since layers do tend to move themselves from time to time! ;)

It's interesting to see people asking for basic enhancements like this and moving layers across riffs when we were asking for these things years ago! Keep the requests coming though. Hopefully it will give our friends at Sonoma some encouragement to get it done this time :D

They actually do, don't they. I didn't post that in the first place because I wasn't too sure if that was just my imagination tricking me. I got the impression that the harder you press the engine, the more often they move. When recording the umptenth layer in a riff of a song replete with song layers, they start to dance. At least that's my experience.

Something Sonoma really needs to consider adding in an upcoming update.

I made sure this feature request is noted.

Thanks,
Michelle
