The Version has been updated with some major fixes in RIFF handling and compatibility.

Thanks to geoffrey/geocare for bringing out the issue.

Download from esnips http://www.esnips.com/doc/48242598-ad7b-4036-bc4d-2ea0889ef1c0/intelliRifferSetup_v2_0_3_Beta

or rapidshare http://rapidshare.com/files/147048465/intelliRifferSetup_v2_0_3_Beta.zip
It is will install the application as intelliriffer_new.exe and use this new file to run intelliriffer i had to keep a different file as the new fixes might have brought in some other bugs that have not been exhaustively tested, and it will not overwrite the previous version.
, if you have previous version; the old intelliriffer.exe will still function the same.

...I've just recorded a new piece using intelliriffer, this one here:

http://www.riffworld.com/Members/redbaron/turning-away

While working on it, I encountered a problem that you may have solved already, so please forgive me if it's a dumb question. When I imported the source wav file, I knew how long it was in minutes - but neither its BPM nor it's lenghth in bars. However, that's the info IR is asking for when converting the wav into a rwr.

So I typed in what I thought were approximate values. Unfortunately I guessed the number of bars wrong three times, so that the rwr either played on AFTER or started to loop from the start BEFORE the music was over. So I had to re-encode the wav thrice before I got it right. Of course this is no major hassle since that process takes only a minute. But is there an easier way?

On this one I didn't use wavechunker since I wanted the entire solo in one take, but does wavechunker help on this issue?

Erk! I have a problem I'd really like to solve. Help Amit!! :O
I have loaded a .wav file with vocals on it into IntelliRiffer, set the tempo (90)and bar length (a random '88'), added as a new layer and saved it out as a .rwr file. However, when I import the .rwr file in to RWStd, it sounds like the vocalist is on helium!
What am I doing? ( ... or not!!)
Cheers!

Scott, it seems there is a problem with samplerate or the file being a mono.

see if you can download the latest version of intelliriffer. that may be able to handle it better. http://sites.google.com/site/intelliriffer/

Otherwise you can just load the wave into audacity , set samplerate to 44100 16 bit stereo wave (if its not stereo convert it to stereo in audacity i.e a 2 identical channel file) and it should work fine.

Thanks Amit!! The file was 24 bit 44.1 mixed down in ProTools to .wav. I'm assuming that the bit rate was the issue with using v2.0.3. The latest 2.0.5 version seems to have done the trick! :D
Cheers!
