Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with my riffworks it works great.I like the way it sounds but it is a bit digital. What are some of your tips for making your recordings sound more "real" ? Will a faster computer or faster hard drive, change the sound? Maybe I need to mic a real amp instead of using a tone port.

Also, Toneport is excellent for micing amps.

Those are great tips....I remember 1st reading that and then going and tweaking all my own tones just for my guitars......

And it always helps to blend a mike in to the mix , whether it's miking an amp or acoustic, just to get some "air" in the mix...... Also blend in some Amplitube or Guitar Rig. It's amazing what it can do to a mix when blended with Line 6 tones.

Now Jason....when we gonna do that all tube/miked collab? ;)

I usualy. make the song in riffworks. Then I save the drumline and record the guitar and bass in another DAW.
Im pretty happy with that way

Nothing is impossible for the person who doesn't have to do it.
