toneport UX2 and riffworks

i bought guitarport with riffworks a couple years ago and not 2 long ago i updated it 2 riffworks 2, now the other day i got toneport ux2 and it says i have to activate riffworks 2, does this mean i have 2 repay or is there another way around this???

You need to transfer the liscense from your guitarport to your toneport by logging in to your line 6 account. You need both devices to do this.

there are no keys though, like i got that 2 in 1 pack with guitar port and riffworks, i think it wall called rifftracker

Hmm I always thought there was a liscense key when you upgraded, but I guess I'm wrong. Hopefully someone else will know.

no man, when i upgraded i didnt have to put a key, it just did it, but now that i got the ux2, it says it needs to be activated and i pretty much dont have a key even though i sort of have one...???

I haven't had to actually do this, but I think this works. Go to the line 6 website. Login to your account. Click the "My Account" link at the top of the page. Click "License Keys" on the left panel. You should be on a screen with instructions how you can transfer the license from one device to another.

yeah but i have no keys in the license key, i never really had to use one i guess

You could also crossgrade to RiffWorks Standard from Line 6 Edition and use it with any ASIO device: http://www.sonomawireworks.com/guide/index.php/Riffworks_Crossgrade
