riffworks line6 edition is not activated

when i try to use riffworks i get a window stating that riffworks must be activated in order to save or mix. im not sure what to do i went to the line6 monkey and it showed that i need the 3.64 driver i enstalled it repeatedly and when i go back to the monkey monkey say driver not installed i have completly had it with this problem now i cant use riffworks at all

Hi Troy,

I can't think of why the Monkey wouldn't allow you to update the drivers. What you can do is go to http://www.line6.com/software and manually download the latest GearBox application. This will include the latest drivers for your device.

See if that fixes the issue and let us know how that worked out,

hi Randy ,I messed up on wich driver it is .The driver im having problems with is the3.4.1.0 . i have the latest gearbox 3.64 .when i start riffworks it says im in demo mode. i have old riffworks version still and RIFFWORKS EXE IT SHOWS UP IN CPROGRAM ;FILES BUT THE RIFFWORKS LINE6 EDITION SHOWS UP AS DEFAULT 2 OF THOSE ARE THERE AND THEN DEMO SONG MULTI TRACK . ITS LIKE IVE LOST RIFFWORKS AND THE OLD VERSION RIFFWORKS EXE IS ACTIVE I OPENED IT AND IT LET ME ACCECES PROJECTS FROM RIFFWORKS LINE6 EDDITION AND IT SEEMS LIKE IT WORKS. I WONDER IF THIS IS A CAUSE I HOPE I HAVE EXPLAINED THIS SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND SHOULD I UNINSTALL THE OLD VERSION? ALSO THE MONKEY STILL WONT LET ME HAVE THE 3.4.1.0 DRIVER

Another Bizzar Thing Is Riffworks Line 6 Eddition Will Let Me Sign On To Rifflink But Wont Let Me Save My Own Work Cause It Say Its A Demo Mode?

troy, i've had several 'issues' with line 6 RW. when I get the 'cant save', I've had to reboot my pc, then open it again. same story with the 'not activated'. sometimes I open RW and the demo song loads up, then I can't save my work when this happens either. been burned several times when i've spent an hr on a song then I can't save it, riffcast, or mix. now when I open it, first thing I do is try to save. if it doesn't let me, then I close it, reboot etc. so I won't get burned. i'm thinking about the $69 crossgrade to RW standard, but I read in the thread you have to reinstall all your drummers, probably not a big deal. however, with line 6, you won't be able to use all the cool amplitude stuff(my understanding, c/b wrong) that you'll win in the rumble, so you might want to consider the move to RW Std. you could still use gearbox and your pod, of course.

i have it working now i had to uninstal everything and reinstall it for what ever reason

i have been unable to get riffworks to load after uninstall and install. I bought it will guitar port and use a mac g5 . guitar port works fine latest software etc. please help.
